I walked outside carrying a ladder at the church today and when I came back into the office I felt like I had spent a week in the Sahara. It feels like it is 200* outside.
My dad's family were Share Croppers growing up. So he worked long days picking cotton and then came in to a non air conditioned home. I remind myself of that every time I am tempted to complain about these kind of conditions. I also think about the men and women in our military who are in the heat of Iraq with full fatigue's on and carrying a 80 lbs of supplies on their back. You know when you think about it we really don't have it that bad, even when the temperature has hit triple digits!
